Took off today Sea Level 75F power normal climbing at 30/2400 at 6000 feet MP dropped back to 29inches at full throttle

Any thoughts is it likely to be  waste gates or turbos.

All previous flight normal

I haven't worked on this model Mooney, but I have been working on turbo twin Cessna's. When they do that, it is usually the wastegate. Spraying it with Mouse Milk is the cure. The Cessna's require exhaust inspections every 100 hours. We lube the wastegate at every inspection. It seems to keep the evil away.

We had one that did that and it was a loose exhaust clamp.
