Dynon DHX  w/D10 on the left w/ 3 knob panel

Center are 2 Becker comms above a TT A/P

On the right is a NEXUS 7 of the wife's

Keeping KT76C (because of SkyBeacon ADSB) and King Audio panel

Everything else goes Bye- Bye

Could only find a J panel but its the same set up in the D

BTW this is for a VFR only airplane  (IFR not wanted or needed)

Panel is eminently expandable for the next owner with Dynon equipment

Way to go Cliffy!

:)

Are you leaving room for the Dynon AP, or no AP at all?

Those are some really powerful screens…

Best regards,

Dynon AP for Mooney may not be approved until 2022 (due to other airframes first) IF the early short bodies are even included in the STC (straight from Dynon at OSH)  They have a J model in their shop.

What part of "retired" don't you understand?  Every day is Saturday and I don't HAVE to be anywhere at any special time  :-)

BTDT over 55 years and 20,000+ hrs  Not interested in the drill anymore. Don't need the challenge anymore. Done all the CAT IIIs I ever want to do and I've carried more ice than a blizzard in Buffalo. Done enough of it in my life.

Remember I came back to Utah from OSH this year at 1500 AGL just to see the sights (without talking to a sole) Try it the old school way sometime. You might enjoy the flying.

I really like it, Cliffy.  I wouldn’t panel mount the Nexus 7 for your wife, though, unless it was with something like a Steelie Nite Ize magnetic ball mount.  At the speed we go through modern tablets it would just be more of a pain than it is worth to do otherwise IMO.  Very nice, though.

Actually looking for something similar (but more flat) for the tablet  This one would definitely upset the compass and the built in magnatometer in the Dynon screen though.    Have a design for one in mind that would be very easy to make and install. Quick on and off the panel. Very simple.

I just use velcro to attach the 10" Android tablet on the right side of the panel. It has held there without moving even in bumps that have your back end leaving the seat. It sits about as flush as it can get to the panel, and if the person in the right seat wants to remove it to play around with it they can and easily just stick it back to the panel.

HMMMM Nice idea including the panel color. SHE wants the same color on ours to get rid of the black panel I'll show her this picture :-)

Right now it's three different colors but when I finally get to cutting a new panel to flush mount the G5's and EDM it will all be the same color. I can't decide between a beige type like RH side or something a few shades lighter than the current breaker panel.

If you're VFR only, I'd avoid getting the D10, save that money, and apply it to getting ADSB in on the HDX screen. I love having weather and traffic on the screen.

The D10 MUST be installed to comply with the STC for Dynon VFR or IFR  I don't want it but it MUST be installed for the sign off

I'll be using their ADSB IN solution for all the info on the screen

No but it does do GPS navigation in a VFR world just like many tablet apps do.

For legal IFR one would need to install another panel mount GPS system and feed the Dynon screen and A/P
