  1. I definitely didn't mean to start an argument about PPIs vs Annuals and airworthiness but here we are. Thanks for the suggestions for places to get it inspected! Working on moving forward now with owner so hopefully we get the ball rolling and get the plane inspected (and fixed to be airworthy before flown again if need be).
  2. I had a great conversation with Shane at Air-Mods but they no longer do prepurchase inspections. They had availability to do an annual but the owner is concerned about the airplane getting stuck in New Jersey, a long car trip from his home base in NH.
  3. The plane is at KASH in Nashua NH, Infinity Aviation there is a MSC and does do prebuys but they are booked for the next two months when I called. Also on the field is Leland Aero Services, however that is the same shop that has been doing the annual for the past several years.
  4. Does anyone have a recommendation for an A&P or shop in New England that would be a choice for a prebuy inspection of a 1965 M20E? I've called all of the local MSCs but they are all either backed up with work for the next month or two or do not do prepurchase inspections. Thanks! Chris
  5. Hi everyone. I have been reading the site for a few months but finally decided to join it myself. I am a new pilot (been flying for just over a year, 105hrs) but would like get a plane to both get my instrument rating in and take on trips around the east coast. I have always been interesting in efficiency so of course I was drawn to Mooneys (and Long Ezs, but they wouldn't for instrument training...), in particular the earlier more affordable models (C,E,F,G). Sadly I have never gotten to actually see any in person besides a C in person and would love to meet up for a flight if there is anyone in the Boston area who would be willing to show me theirs. Thanks for everything I have already learned from this site and I can't wait to hear more wisdom! -Chris
