rocketman Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Question - what are the STC requirments of maintaining the ship TIT, CDT, and Fuel Flow gauges when these guages are being replaced with the same information and probes on a JPI 830 install. I am currently upgradeing many instruments and radio's on my M20K Rocket and my installer feels that these need to be maintained. Thanks for your help. Quote
Cruiser Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 The replacement equipment must be approved for replacement of the items you want to remove. AFAIK the JPI 830 is not STC'd for replacement of those gauges. JPI does have monitors that are STC'd to replace original equipment. Those are hard coded with the appropriate limits that cannot be changed by the operator among other requirements. Quote
Earl Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 In order to replace OEM gauges you would need to install the 930. I have the 730 with my OEM still there and operating and never or rarely look at them (except fuel flow). Quote
