Over in the general mooney talk section, someone has a servo assembly for sale.  Not sure if it is what you are looking for.

it is also the top post on the search list from carusoam Above.

I guy at the airport has a system that he removed from a Baron. He said I can have it for a 12 pack of Bud Light bottles.

I usually don’t drink at the airport, but I guess I should throw some in the truck.

He keeps calling it a Britain Norman autopilot.

Thanks for all the quick responses, yeah I've taken out all the servos. Two had huge tears the metal piston inside was sticking out and the other two had holes. I ordered a couple replacements from a salvage because the two seemed beyond repair but I got replacement that were also leaking. But not as bad. The plane seems like its trying to level but keeps turning left. Which is the side with the worst servos

I just replaced the O-rings and re-sealed all four of my servos. I pressure tested them and didn't have any leaks. Taking out and putting back in the right servo is the worst and will leave you with bruised forearms and a new way to talk with God. I found myself removing and reapplying tape several times before getting a good seal when I pressure tested. I sure would like to find some servos only a few years old.

Has anyone called Brittain lately?  I'm not sure of their "hibernation" status.  Right after Jerry died, we called Brittain and ordered a set of the rubber boots to stock in our own personal inventory against future ruptures, though we haven't used any of them in anger yet.  It was some of the very last stock of boots, I think.  I thereafter read reports of Cecelia telling other callers she had no common parts in stock, and that she was simply trying to keep the company alive until a new investor could be found.  One assumes that if a new investor is able to resurrect Brittain as a going concern, manufacturing new boots and getting back into the servo overhaul business would be their first priority.

As for "finding some servos only a few years old", I don't think anyone has manufactured completely new Brittain servos in decades.  The best you can get is new boots/seals/tape on old cans; but that's OK as the cans are essentially indestructible.  There was a time when Brittain would ship an overhaul kit to the field with boots and seals; but in latter years the FAA got on their case and required them to have customers send servos to the factory for overhaul.  You can let your conscience be your guide on what that means when the manufacturer is no longer able to provide the service.  I consider it to be an "owner produced part".

I talked to them in March and they said they are working on getting manufacturing going again in the next year.  It seems like others have heard that few times so who knows if it is accurate.
