Two versions of TKS exist...

  • FIKI
  • non-FIKI

Who installs it is important, you don’t want to be the first for some mechanic to learn on...

The FIKI version comes with a few key back-up devices...

PP thoughts, not a mechanic..

My understanding is the factory sends the new plane to cav for the install. They don’t do it themselves. So no difference. My system was installed at 50 hours or so.

Strange - they used to have a list of installation centers on the website.  That link now goes to a redirect.

My 231 was done at Shoreline aviation in Marshfield, MA some 22 years ago, but they are no longer on that list.
