Co-Pilot is still there.  He is pilot in command.  Riding right seat at all times.  Co-pilot bear lives in the plane full time.  Sock monkey is autopilot.  He doesn't look piloty is a brilliant ploy to throw the FAA off track.  Only rides when needed on special occasions.

The parrots haven't destroyed that thing?  They of course can fly just fine.  They're birds, after all.
