Garmin 650 side tone

I have a 530W, not a 650, but on the 530W you get into the setup menu by holding down the ENT button while powering the device on.  I can adjust the sidetone there.  I suspect the 650 works in a similar fashion.  The setup menu description may be in the installation manual, not the user guide.

Dig thru your menus, System, then I think Nav/Com.  There are adjustments to sidetone volume.  Garmin site has manual online.  In the pilot guide.

Hold home button while powering up,,,  then adjust in the appropriate settings, update config module.

In my old Garmin radio the side tone drifted over the years getting louder until it got uncomfortably loud (either that or my hearing has been improving as I get older but I seriously doubt that because my wife says I can’t hear sht$&). Anyway, I finally went into the settings and adjusted the side tone back to a very comfortable level).

Holding the home button while powering up opens the setup menu, found the side tone adj. Thanks guys your the best
