I agree, windy is great. I have been using it for over a year now and it’s prediction model specially for the cloud base is quite realistic.

While not apps, I also like the following two sites:

Ogimet

Aviation Report and Forecast

For both sites you have to use airports that it recognizes.  In general, any airport that gets a TAF plus a few more.  For Ogimet, try and airport you like and if it doesn't know it you will get a message that tells you as much.  Also, Ogimet is not available all day and it will tell you when data is not available.  In general, try using it in the morning or evening for best chances of success.

Actually the usairnet site is just the GFS MOS (in graphical form) and it has about 2200 airports vs 660 TAF sites in the U.S.

And what is nice about the usairnet site is you don't have to guess.  You can pick a state and see a list of all the airports it knows.
