Maintenance Shops

Ryan, I've dealt with Joey for four years, and have been happy with him. Some folks, haven't. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have - good or bad. Just PM me if you want to keep it private.

Very happy with Joey.  In fact it looks like he'll be shipping my engine to Zephyr engines in the next week or so.  He saved my bacon more than once when I had issues come up (like an avionics shop that couldn't figure out how to get my gear to retract after working on my ASI).  He knew how to fix it without having to look it up in a service manual.  Then he proceeded to walk the guy through step by step.  Charge to me:  $0.00 value to me: priceless (ok little exageration there)

Great shop. Joey has been working Mooneys for a very long time. I have been to his shop a number of times and nerver once heard a bad comment. There will always be good and bad from every shop but I really have not heard anything bad coming out of Joey's shop and I have known him for years. I would recommend him.

If you are  considering Cole Aviation. Please read my post . I would really stay away and look for someone else. In and around Atlanta you have a few to choose from. The comments that I have read after my post are pretty much the same. I hope you don’t make the same mistake I have.

Actually my experiences with Joey have been very positive, and the opposite of what you posted.  It was Emerald Coast down at DTS that wasn't good.

I can only comment on my one and only experience with joey. I had a very bad experience that could have ended with an accident due to negligence. Again i can only comment on my experience.

You should pm "rbridges".... he just did a $10k job with Cole. He could tell you about Cole.

I think it's a great idea to share where good maintenance is performed. It's also a good idea to share some less than stellar performance, but I'd suggest leaving names of these off of a public forum. If you want to know, ask for them in an e-mail or a PM.
