Similar taste to squirrell if you've ever had that. If not, the closest comparison would be dark meat chicken. The seasoning they used was primarily herbs and quite delicious. Excellent taste, but not much meat and lots of bones. To the dog question: if I was visiting a country where dog was a delicacy and served in most resturants like cuy was in Peru, then most likely. I like to try to immerse myself in the culture when I travel and love food, so local food is where I do most of my immersion. I wouldn't go in search of it and especially not go get it from some back alley place where you have to knock twice and give a password just to say I got to taste of Rover.
