Hi MSrs,

I am going to fly down to Dallas this week for work. If any MSrs would like to grab dinner I’m game.  I think ill be in the Carrolton area.

I also need to renew my IPC if anyone is)/knows a good CFII in the area.

Looks like KADS is close to my worksite but I bet the tie down fees are impressive ; any FBO recommendations?

The best/cheapest place to park is Dallas Executive (KRBD). But it's a little ways south of town and Carrolton is even further north. McKinney isn't bad, but it pretty far north. Dallas Love is also a possibility but might only be a little cheaper than KADS. If you're thinking of going to Love, TexStar is usually the cheapest FBO on that field.

If going into ADS... you'll have to call each of the FBO's to ask about fees. They keep changing so you have to call.

Stephen - if you are in town on Friday, I may be free on that day to help work on an IPC.

KDAL is better priced and I don’t think the proposed landing fees have taken effect yet.

KRBD is even better priced, but far more out of your way.

@Stephen you can use my hangar at KGPM if you need.

Wow Bill, that is super generous of you!!! I had already made arrangements at KTKI on the north side for rental etc, but I wanted to extend a huge thanks! That said, if you would like to meet another MS'er while I'm there I am open Thursday night!.

Just a pirep on the tie down at McKinney (KTKI) ; it was $10/night so pretty reasonable for 15ish min away from my hotel and worksite.

I have come to the firm conclusion that you are just that much of a better man if you  know Don Muncy. :)

Don, had a great time at dinner tonight; thanks for taking time out.

In addition to @DonMuncy. I also got to meet @bill98 and @Jpflysdfw for Mooney talk and beers. Wonderful gentleman and great conversation. Thank you for taking some time out; I really enjoyed getting together.

Stephen

@Stephen Likewise! Enjoyed meeting and the opportunity to talk to another Mooney fanatic. I only wish the Dallas weather would have been better this weekend.  Unfortunately,  Mother Nature often has a mind of her own.  I look forward to a trip up to your neck of the woods.....hopefully sometime later this Fall.  Safe travels back home Monday!!
