Panel under main panel

I have seen instances where a smaller panel is attached under the main left instrument panel underneath the yoke. What is the proper terminology for this panel and what instruments can go there?

I found it. It’s referred to as peanut panel and it’s the small panel section that some of our Moobeys have with small 2.25 instruments. I have one on the left side that holds my clock, ammeter and ignition switch. I have also seen some mounted underneath the main panel horizontally for smaller instruments, switches and breakers.

I was wondering if the cluster of strip gauges can be moved to there.

I remember discussing this panel a ways back...  but there was very little chance I was going to remember that name with any accuracy.
