With deference to the previous thread about screws-

Anyone ever counted the number of places that need to be lubes every year?

I may try next month!

Eight on each main gear, 11 on the nose gear. I identify and clean them all before greasing, it's less messy that way. Start at the top and lubricate down, no reaching past oozing grease fittings.

The jack screw has one, and my 3-blade Hartzell has three.

Once the IA has done his thing and the belly is ready to go on, I spray TriFlow from one end to the other, rolling out of the way as I spray each joint  bushing, slider, etc.

I'm about to do them all for the 12th time . . . . Belly screws, too.  :P

where on the jack screw?  You mean theres a zirc there somewhere?

Ill be damned if I can find 11 on the nose either...  Somebody needs to post pictures of these hidden zircs.  I could only find 7 on the mains including the one in the well aft of the wheel.

my prop has 4 but my IA removes 2 opposite each other and pumps till he sees movement through the removed zircs hole.

Annual is next month, I'll take a picture while the belly is open. Not sure a photo of the gear will show everything. Check every rotating joint, I'm sure of the zirk fitting count on my plane. The three in my prop are the three that grease goes in, the three fittings where grease comes out don't count.

@Hank, you're just counting grease fittings which are finite.  If you add all the spots that need to be lubricated each annual, the number approaches the infinte.

I think @cliffy was looking beyond grease points.

I already put that in my first post:

My favorite one is the oil cup on the back of the rpm gauge... it oils the area where the cable comes in from the engine.

It hides in a spot that is pretty well out of sight behind the panel.

I generously apply TriFlow to anything and everything that looks like it moves, under the belly and behind the wing & tail inspection panels. Never occured to me to count them; I count zirk fittings to make sure I get them all.

Total, number of lubrication spots? I can't count that high! Thought someone else could.

Have electronic tach -1 on the count here :-)

Also several spots on the aileron push pull tubes out in the wings + all of the elevator trim bulkhead bushings and U joints.

No, the jack screw gets a glob of grease in the tail. The 1.4 million lube points are inferred from the manual and the specific grease to use at each point are listed. About 12 different types of lubricant in total (jack screw lube, gear lube, wheel bearing lube, lubriplate, triflow, straight oil (don't use triflow on sealed bearings like hinges) and I'm probably forgetting another 1/2 dozen different lubes off the top of my head).

Two less than normal when ham fisted people break off the fittings on the main gear trunnions.
