ever the pessimist, my opinion is unless you're an a&p there are no diamonds in the rough, only money pits.

Hahaha, yeah, I'm no A&P and haven't been one to turn wrenches in my youth. Some people love it, I never got into it. I'm self aware enough to keep this in my decision making process.

Now I'm torn. After flying with TheTurtle in a nice F, maybe the J and pricing is for later. Why must all Mooneys be so awesome!?!?

The Fs are a great platform. Probably because I've been an F owner for the past 26 years.

As long as they are in good mechanical condition . . . . Cosmetics and instruments can be replaced, structural elements are rarely economical to do.

Update. The plane should be sold this Friday to an airline pilot who will learn to fly it from a co-worker.

I talked to the owner's wife a bit, she was quite nice . She didn't think they charged enough for it. Husband is an A&P and they flew it a lot. Sounds like the time listed was time since overhaul. I told her I was happy to hear it was going to a good home which she appreciated. Who knows, maybe it will be at a future Mooney meet-up!
