I'm with Anthony, ya gotta go with the wife.  It'll keep her happy with the addition to the family for a (slightly) longer period of time.

Since you're planning to strip the tanks, give her a Stripper Name starting with "V" or "Va"; all that comes to mind right now is Val, but that's not a good Stripper name . . . My excuse is that I'm tired from all day airline travel right now . . .

Mine too!

My first one was just Mr. Mooney and the wife calls the current one Mike. She says that's what I call it when I talk to the controllers.

I think naming planes, cars, etc. is all a bit silly... but since you asked, and based on the N number, Virginia seems appropriate.

How about boats  Like USS ........

Yeah, there's a whole nautical tradition thing there, with the breaking the champaign bottle over the bow, christening, etc. I've only owned ski boats and we never named them either.

Just not my thing, but not opposed to others doing it.

funny thing is I've never named my boats bikes or cars but airplanes just have too much soul not to name. But I like your idea on VA for Virginia

Boat naming is an institution and ellicits some rather creative names from owners. Boats need a name to ID them when communicating over the VHF. Pilots reference our tail number, captains need a handle as well.

It's all in fun, of course. We have a mounted deer hanging in our little party store in central Michigan. Had a "Name that deer" contest. My wife won that one, too. Winning name? D*ckhead! The locals have a saucy sense of humor! :D

ps not sure how to turn a picture orientation, but you get the idea...
