Christmas Eve Flying

Flew over to The Waypoint Cafe for lunch.  It's always nice to hear the Merry Christmas calls on the radio.  Ran into FlyDave (Picture Attached).  On the way back, I decided to show the wife how to use the autopilot to fly her back to the runway via the KAP 150 capturing the ILS, in case I am ever incapacitated.  A beautiful day to fly.

Ooooh! You guys and your flying wives! Errrrrr.... It was a beautiful day here too in Sedona where I am spending the week and I wish I could have flown here. Saw guys flying today over the gorgeous red rocks and was jealous. I plan to go up and visit the airport after Xmas.

I love the Waypoint, have been there many, many times.

We were thinking of going to Sedona, but it didn't work out.  Bet we run into you soon anyway.

Flew to see the in-laws, and got back before the snow hit. Two-hr flight vs. a 6.5hr drive - priceless.

Have New Years plans in Sedona. I am based in the Northeast and cannot seem to find a safe way out west due to weather. I hope to get out early next week. The pictures look great!!

We DROVE a car to Sutter Creek!!  Yikes, Not fun...............5 hours via I-5.  Yuck.  You all have a Merry Christmas and a great Mooney flying 2011!

Fernando - good to finally meet you. Your plane is as beautiful as when I originally looked at it.

I just noticed that a number of people wil be/try to be in Sedona. My wife and I are leaving EMT for Sedona in about 45 minutes - arrive around 2:15. See 'ya there!

I had to go from Dallas to Houston and back to Dallas to pick up my daughter for christmas morning,  with 700 foot ceilings I had to drive, so a 3 1/2 hour plane ride turned into an 8 hour car drive... Happy blue skies to you guys out on the west coast though LOL

Not Christmas eve but is holiday travel. I flew from Zeeland Michigan to Nashville Tenn. to Pittsburg Pen. back to Zeeland today to pick up the family for a holiday get-together. 2 aproaches, snow and wind but what a way to travel.

I didn't actually go anywhere.  I took my dad up for a nice flight over the marshlands south of N.O on Christmas eve.  Nice way to spend 1.5hr with dad but any time spent with dad is good.
