Pretty impressive faux chrome poweder coat

Powder Coat on my "worn out" retractable step.  I think the chrome looks pretty good...for paint.

Thanks.  A local Cedar Rapids Co called Rainbow Paint & Blasting.  They have ability to prep parts (bead/sand blast or other media) and specialize in one off's and custom work.

Did they put a clearcoat over the chrome?  Typically when I do metallics I always put a clearcoat over the top.  The actual shine from that powder is actually aluminim powder.

Do you lube your retractable step ?  If so, with what ?  I searched the service manulal with no luck.
