Well usually we hike and try to do the outdoors . But I am very reluctant to let her push to hard . I think they consider her high risk because we did invetro. So really just looking for a good hotel and nice scenery and just relax . Thanks for all the ideas I will check them out .

We are also expecting a baby in a couple of months. After several years of IVF cycles and a several early previous losses we have pretty much just stayed at home all summer and stayed inside. We usually go to fl several times a year but haven't even considered it this year.

Good luck and hope everything goes well.

The royal gorge train is neat too, if you get a dome car and lunch it's kind of fun. I have done both and rate them about equally. The scenery is better on the cog, but the gorge has good food. You've also got cave of the winds and as mentioned garden of the gods. It's a nice little trip!

Funny you mention the royal Gorge . We flew up yesterday and had lunch with a friend then off to the gorge for the rest of the day.

all this travel talk is making me wish I had some time off and a plane that wasn't perpetually broken.

It will be Helena MT or Pikes Peak and the cogwheel train . At this point I am leaning towards Helena just so I can stretch the 231 legs a bit . Pikes peak is less the 2 hrs away . Thanks for all the ideas guys . I bet I come back to this thread often to check out the places I did not pick for another time.

Much less to do in hln. Stretch it to GPI? You've got the park and a little more to see.

Pregnant wife = pressure on bladder.  Shorter flight = happier pregnant spouse.  You'll enjoy the Broadmore and she'll love the spa.  Simply my opinion.  Montana is also beautiful.

The Broadmore is hard to beat (been to two weddings there and hosted a conference for my former broker dealer there).

The Broadmoor is easily the best hotel I've stayed. Cheesy as it is I really like the bowling alley.
