Mooney13 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Any good recommendations for Mooney Experienced Mechanics in these two locations? (Also, anyone to stay away from ??..Can PM me if afraid to get "flamed".. ) I am considering a couple of Mooneys and need to have them checked out once I decide... Thank you! Quote
carusoam Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 There is a guy at KGGG, That some people use. I think people call him DMax? That is pretty close to San Antonio... Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
Bob_Belville Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Dmax is tops. Kerrville is closer to San Antonio. Dugosh is there, Charlie is dead and the business has changed hands but there should be plenty of Mooney expertise for a PPI there. 1 Quote
M20F-1968 Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Brian Kendrick works in San Marcos. He has plenty of Mooney experience, years with Mod Works and then hired by Mooney where he was a manager for the Mooney Service Center. PM me and I'll put you in touch with him. John Breda Quote
gsxrpilot Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Southwest Texas Aviation is now in the capable hands of JD and Laura Castile. They are on the field at San Marcos and have a hanger full of Mooney's under repair at the moment. Look them up online if interested in talking to them. They are also an MSC. 1 Quote
Chocks Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 +1 for Southwest Texas Aviation. They are an MSC and have all the Mooney tooling and STC's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
mooneyflyfast Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 David Behrend (sp?) at Dugosh.. Has been there 18+ years that I know of and is a good guy. Talk to Vanette about scheduling if you go with them. Also Ron Fisher is a mooney guy and owns a C model. Does a lot of work for All American--both are based at Kestrel. Quote
