dfswing2 Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 I am close to purchasing an M20M Bravo in central Texas, within 35 mi of Kerrville. I am considering Dugosh (Gemini now I believe). Any other recommendations that might travel to the aircraft?
gsxrpilot Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 You really should send the aircraft to Don Maxwell at KGGG. Don can help with a pilot to position the plane at his shop and get the owner home. Any seller this close who wouldn't agree to a DMax inspection isn't selling the plane you want to buy.
Ron McBride Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 I would suggest not taking the plane to the last shop that maintained it. Plane could use a different set of eyes. Both Dugosh or Maxwell have great reputations. Ron 1
DaV8or Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 I was happy with Southwest Texas Aviation in San Marcos when they did a pre buy for me. It's another option. Don Maxwell does have the greater reputation though.
carusoam Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 DMax... Performed the PPI on my R. A significant part of the PPI for me included a practical test of all of the avionics. I was paying for a complete IFR machine, DMax assured that was what I was receiving... Best regards, -a-
carqwik Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Out of curiosity, what are/were you flying before moving to buying a Bravo?
