I thought foam floated!Needed ping pong balls in the wings :-)And a riggers knife to cut the shrouds.

No knives allowed, TSA safety regulations!

Wow - that sure sank quickly.

I read somewhere that the chute is not as good for a water landing since the plane can smack the water so quickly that you can still get injuries - that landing gear bending is part of the chute - shock absorption strategy and it doesn't work in water.

Seems to have worked pretty well. It looks like the chute starts dragging the airplane through the water causing the wing over. If it had been calm the plane may have floated for a while longer, but after the wing over with the cabin filling up with water it does not take long.

Incredible!!  Hard to argue against the chute on that one.

Ummmmmm..........Mooney International are you watching?

Got chute?

Great video.  The pilot looked pretty comfy lying in the raft.  Of course he had the eye in the sky and knew help was on it's way............so why not..........It's Miller Time.

A guy I know bought a Skycatcher from the local flight school and put in a BRS immediately. He is a cfi and the father of a guy who builds an expensive trike for a living and markets it in the US. I think that is a pretty good endorsement. I had an hour of dual with him and he knows his stuff.
