rob Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 The time has come for me to move on, growing family coupled with work and too many hobbies means ownership no longer makes sense to me. I've had a good eight years with this plane. Excellent dispatch record, upgrades galore, meticulous maintenance and the logs/receipts to go with it! Some Specs: 1965 M20C N11RY manual gear and flaps ~5000 TTAF ~1240 SMOH ~850 SPOH (Hartzell "B" Hub no AD) Useful Load: 981.7lbs. Paint: 8/10 Interior: 8/10 Panel: Aspen Pro1000 PFD S-Tec 30 w/alt. w/GPSS Garmin 430W Garmin 340 Audio Panel Garmin SL30 Nav/Comm Garmin 327 TXP Garmin Aera 560 Panel Mounted King KI-209 Indicator w/GS Vertical Card Compass Full dimming NuLites all the way around Two Audio Inputs (front and rear) EI UBG-16 Engine Analyzer w/ VoltAmp and OAT modules EI FP5-L Fuel Flow Computer tied to GNS430W Mods: Lasar Standard "T" Panel Lasar Brake Reversal Lasar Cowl Closure Lasar Pivot Truss Shoulder Harnesses Lightweight Starter Oil Filter Relocation Voice Alert Gear/Stall Warning System Sale includes cabin cover and wing covers. Does not include wife The logs on this plane are complete and immaculate. I have receipts dating back to 2002, all STC Paperwork, etc. Even have burn certs and paint brochures. I flight plan for 146kts at 9.5gph, but the airplane will do 150kts TAS with just me and ~30 gallons of fuel at 8000'. There was a gear up by a PO in 2004, which is fully documented. Engine was torn down by Penn Yann and prop was replaced with a new "B" hub (no eddy current AD). There exists no evidence of this incident today. You'd be hard pressed to find a better equipped vintage Mooney. Mags rebuilt ~250 hours ago, tanks resealed by Maxwell, etc. She's as close to turn-key as you can get. I've flown her all over the country, from Palm Springs to Palm Beach, Michigan to Montana. Still flying while awaiting a new home. Asking $56,500. Available to inspect anytime, can deliver. Mooney1401 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Great looking plane Rob. I am sure it won't last. I was wondering if you could give an idea on the cost with installing your aspen system. I am interested in doing this to my plane. Pm me if you don't mind. Quote

Alan Fox Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 OK Rob I will take the wife , but only if you throw in the plane for free...... 2 Quote
rob Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 She's a lot more expensive than the plane! Quote
inktomi Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 If only I had $60,000! Your plane really does have just about everything you can get in a M20C.. 1 Quote
rob Posted February 18, 2014 Author Report Posted February 18, 2014 At a price of $56,500, the plane costs less than the radios and labor to install! Quote
tonyk628 Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 But it was a labor of love... and there's no price on that Quote
rob Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 Sure there is! It's $56,500 Quote

bjohnsonmn Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Hey Rob, Looks interesting. Â Perhaps I missed it, but how is the corrosion, and tell me about the fuel tanks/useful load. Â thanks! Brad Quote
rob Posted May 1, 2014 Author Report Posted May 1, 2014 There is no structural corrosion and any surface corrosion has been treated. The plane is fogged with CorrosionX every so often and despite the mess that makes, it has been effective in keeping anything serious at bay. The paint is solid, and that helps also. I upgraded this plane a great deal during my ownership. Suffice it to say that before I put tens of thousands of dollars in avionics in, I was completely sure that the airframe was not going to be an issue. The airplane is in great shape and has been maintained to a very high standard. The useful load is 981.7lbs and the fuel tanks are 52 gallons. Quote
