bnicolette Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 I've been trying, but the weather through the mountains won't cooperate. Then again, ya'll could have an event a little further from the coast, say west of the SFRA? Hank.......give up on that idea my friend. None of those guys are going to fly that far West.
fantom Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 I have a set of Bose and they now sit on the rear seat back waiting for a passenger...... If they are A-20's how much do you want for those crappy old things? I've tried Halo's many times and just don't like them. Just too flimsy and the sound seems muffled. I do use CamGuard, however. Different strokes....
bnicolette Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Sorry Gary, I need them for the rare times I have other folks in the airplane. And I do like them I just prefer the Halo's. The only problem I have with the Halo's is when it's really warm out its difficult to get those damn sponges in my ears.

fantom Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Well that's the problem! You aren't suppose to use CamGuard on your Halos! .....but it reduces wax buildup and keeps my lobes nice and clean.

More comfortable, more durable, easy to clean. They also don't turn into frozen bricks in the winter . . . . 1
Marauder Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Since we don't have a rating system for people selling things on MooneySpace, I thought I would start one... FlyDave - A+++ 1) Halo arrived intact and in great shape. 2) Halo arrived 2 days earlier than indicated in his email. 3) FlyDave would have gotten an A++++ rating but there was no sign of ear wax anywhere! I was expecting some based on what I saw on 201er's headset Thanks Dave! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

David Mazer Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 For those who mentioned an interest in a set, I just noticed they are on sale on the Quiet Technologies website for $359.

They also don't turn into frozen bricks in the winter . . . . I tried the silicone and had a problem with pressure in my ear when changing altitudes, which I don't get with the foam. I guess the silicone is creating such a tight seal that nothing is getting through. Three years on, I still think the Halo is the best aviation related purchase I've ever made outside of the Mooney itself.
