KSMooniac Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Didn't meet the reserve, and I noticed the Buy It Now price dropped from the original listing as well. I wonder if he lets it go at the lower price... Quote
danwtsa Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 I've seen quite a few ads from this Pressley guy. He always has some sort of junk for sale with a doubious history. Quote
KSMooniac Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 It's back up again currently, up to 47.1k with a buy-it-now price of 55k. Just about all of his planes are repaired salvage planes. It is possible to repair something back to great condition, but those repairs need to be thoroughly investigated. He also has an extensive stock of used parts that he sells, which is helpful. I'd have no problem purchasing parts from him. Quote

N601RX Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Posted November 12, 2013 If I remember correctly there was a couple of thing. Missing spark plug from cylinder. Blocked Fuel Vent Line Incorrect Prop- had to much pitch even when on low stop and would not let engine develop full power. Quote

Marauder Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Cluck, you would think, cluck, with this kind of history, cluck, the FAA, cluck, cluck, would be monitoring his actions. Cluck, cluck... Quote

I assumed but didn't see a final report. what a mess. no way I get into a plane that's been sitting on a ramp for a year without having it checked out. definitely would not let my kid into that plane. very sad situation b/c it was very avoidable. nels Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I don't know if it's a good or bad plane but knowing the damage history and then seeing it has fuel bladders, for instance, I have to wonder if all the damage inside around the tanks is properly repaired or if bladders were just a quick fix. Maybe it had bladders prior to the accident but just another potential concern to check into. Quote
apriav Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 I looked at this aircraft in person and had to pass. It's a bargan hunters wet dream and wrost dream come true. Quote
