  4. Sign of the time we are in. We had 5 aircraft going a couple of months ago, now its just me. Topped off the tanks today $7.59 a gallon, now how much do I want to go by my self. Still looking foreword to Oshkosh.........
  5. Mild soapy water and microfiber towel. works well on bugs and grime also
  6. I have had a Guardian in my last two aircrft. They have a 5 year recertification, as I remember around $300. They work, if the door is open and the wind blows the exhaust in, the detector goes off. Anoys my wife, makes me feel safer.
  7. G3X, I am so impressed with it. Learning more every flight.

I'm not sure how this got to my profile page. Why don't you contact me by PM here on Mooneyspace or by email muncy-d@hotmail.com or even text or call 214 207-6744

Availability is a week or so out, as I have another couple of sets in front of you.

I get $160 plus shipping for a set of anodized ones ($140 for plain aluminum).

  10. Thank you Frank. I can make it work now. Best regards, Arnold
  11. Contact Accurate Aero Minden, Nevada. Great communion, quality work, good knowledge base, young guy, honest, watch him grow.
  12. Anybody have contacts at Mooney technical support?
  13. I need schematic for control box part number 800275-501.
  14. That is ugly.......Might try some Chemseal 3204, it sticks everything. Spruce has it.
  15. Knobs are on the panel, Have a rheostat and a push to test with what looks like a light sensor. Transistor controlled. In the picture at the top above autopilot.
  16. New panel, fired up for the first time, now configuring.
  17. Instrument lighting not working. Looked in maintenance manual and could not find schematic for the control box (20LP05B). Found what come out below, need the wiring inside 20LP05B (at the top of drawing).
  18. Get a G5, you will not regret it. Its modular, many add on features, IFR flying easier with information shown.
  19. Alpha has the kit to install shoulder harnesses, $22. You can buy seat belts from Spruce, Wag Aero, or another aviation source. AC43.13 is liberal with seat belt safety improvements and lets you do it as a minor repair (log book entry only).
  20. Voltage should be 13.8 - 14.2 volts on the main bus. Check voltage on the field wire, while running, it should change with loads added or taken away (more with greater load). If your ammeter jump and field voltage jumps together turn loads on or off for locating trouble. Field resistance is goog to look at, with battery off and field wire removed check resistance to ground. Should be constant while prop is turned. Changing resistance indicate brush or ring problems.
  21. If you haven't bought the Electroair, get the Surefly. Have had both, never liked the Electroair, replaced it with Surefly.
  22. If the budget allows go with G5s and GAD13. So much information in front of you. Did that on my last aircrft. Instrument flying enhanced. And gained 13 pounds useful, weighed removed and installed.
