  1. I Have used both single cue and dual cue in simulator training. The single cue is much easier for me personally. In my experience the single cue is much more intuitive to use but everybody is different. Most of the pilots that I fly with that have a military background prefer the dual cue because that is what they used in their military training and the g a pilots use the single cue but that is from my limited experience and others might have different experiences
  2. Can’t say my mind wandered when I saw the title. It went straight to OMG I gotta see what this is about here
  3. Are you going into KJKA or Foley? I checked in on going there a few monthes ago on vacation and Foley was much frienflier and less expensive.
  4. Guess I will be old and traditional and go with the Concorde but I will be anxious to read somebody else’s experience with the new technology batteries . I had gill when I had brand C aircraft and am familiar with them so I will go Concorde and not look back same as the plane had when I bought it
  5. No electrical issues just an old battery due to be changed
  6. Oops. My mistake. I thought it was saying I could use the 25 in place or the 35. I stand corrected before I made a big mistake. Thanks for gently correcting me
  7. I was looking on aircraft spruce and it showed the Concorde 25 on the Pma list
  8. I am about to have to buy a new battery for my E model and have been looking at different Concordes. The 25 has 22 amp hours and 225 CCA. The 35 has 29 amp hours and 390 CCA. I do not do any hard IFR I only will fly over the top of a layer and am wondering which battery I need. Anybody with current input? I have an original starter not a lightweight starter
  9. Electrical outlets, lots of outlets,I put them every 10 feet around all the walls of my hanger and they have been more useful than I expected. If something was covering an outlet just a few feet away is a spare in any direction and it allows for shorter extension cords as well.
  10. Don’t forget to check your grounds….all of them
  11. Don’t forget to check the grounds …. All of them. Battery to airframe and airframe to engine. ….ask me how I know
  12. I see that the trutrak is finally released for mooney on the aircraft spruce website
  13. I have done his mod and have the old step actuatorif it will help anybody
  14. Man I am so sorry to hear this. He used to be my check airman in another life
  15. And look at NetJets. I can offer positive input on them
  16. I had to drill it out . If the pin slipped I don't know of any other way to access it
  17. So that would be the mooneyu2? :-)
  18. Must be some kind of record. Wonder what kind of o2 gear he was using. And you gotta wonder how long reentry took
  19. My suggestion is a large slow turning fan. I have an old shop fan that moves a lot of air but doesn’t blow you over and doesn’t make a lot of noise so you can hear the radio over the fan. Other supplies as you need them and just buy a few extra and soon you will have all kinds of supplies you didn’t know you need ;-)
  20. There is a drawing from Mooney in the archives here. I took it to the local machine shop and $50 later and about 4 hours he had me a set.I had my mechanic observe me installing them during the annual and everybody is happy.I would even bet you would have the parts in hand before you would have gotten them if they were shipped from Mooney
  21. I got the plans from the archives here and took them to a cnc machine and in short order I had 3 inch extensions that my mechanic installed at annual
  22. Thanks for the follow up. I plan on doing an upgrade at annual and your input helps tremendously
  23. that was one of the first things I did and Iwent so far as to spray the canon plug that connects to the back with contact cleaner and install a new ground from the instrument panel to the cluster
  24. didn't do that but i will do that this week and see if i find anything. Thanks for the info.is there any way to test the sensor itself?
  25. I hope I find something other than a $800 sensor. I will keep checking
