  1. In a thread started in 2018 by @DonMuncy which has grown over the years with additions by @BrianW and @Aerodon as well as several others regarding rudder pedal extensions https://mooneyspace.com/topic/25735-rudder-pedal-extensions-revisited/ @Ragsf15e who is 6'3" says he has to keep his seat all the way back, and wonders if he has extensions. I'm also tall, so I decided to check mine. The first picture below is one posted by @BrianW with an extension installed, and the second picture is from my airplane. I don't see that "U" channel on mine, but can someone who has worked on these things confirm with certainty whether mine does or does not have extensions? Thanks for any help.
  2. Does anyone know if rudder pedal extensions removed from an M20C model work on an M20J? Friend has some and I would like a set of 3" for my J model. He'll pretty much give them to me if they will work - he did mention that they were adjustable from 1.5 or 3.0 inches, I'm unsure if the ones used on the J were adjustable.
  3. Just to remind folks that the rudder pedal extension drawings that Amelia sent to me about six years ago for digitization are currently published on Mooneyspace at http://mooneyspace.com/files/file/8-rudder-pedal-extension-drawings/. They have been here for a little over 2 years now, but I do not think I posted a notice to that effect at the time and I am now correcting that lack of foresight. Look in the downloads section under "engine reference manuals." I have had three or four people request them from me in the last few months, and I am happy to send them to anyone who asks, but it is probably quicker all round if everyone knows where they are on the site.
  4. It was kinda embarrassing when at my second annual, my A&P asked me why I needed 3" rudder pedal extensions on my J model. I'm 6' tall. I told him I didn't need them. He asked "Then why do you have them?". And I said "Because I'm an idiot". Boy what a difference in control and steering! Actually I still had plenty of room with them installed. But I could see how someone of a shorter height might find a little comfort in them. They are going on eBay for $75. But any Mooneyspace friends can make an offer and I'll send them your way. Supposed to fit on all M20 models. mulro767@gmail.com
