  1. Is the only change you made the replacement lens? Or was something else required?
  2. Call @jgarrison
  3. I would love to install it when I repaint the plane but they were extremely not interested in providing a clean one without a hole for the landing light (mine are in the wings, I don't need a hole in the cowling). Seemed pretty rude about it too. Oh well!
  4. @sleeper-319 Catalina is a great trip! I've probably landed there at least 20 times. It's smart to bring a CFI or at least do some thorough homework first. Some first-timers handle it well (especially if the conditions are the same as the ones they've studied: headwind for RWY 22, no strong gusts, etc.) but I've seen first-timers struggle, including a Cirrus that had to go around three times in gusting conditions favoring RWY 3 before finally getting it on the ground. And don't forget to set your altimeter! It's easy to forget when you're talking to SoCal across the channel and they tell you to squawk VFR right as you're starting to manage your approach.
  5. Still looking?
  6. Does yours have the landing light in the cowling or in the wings?
  7. Can't remember if I put this in the other thread, but: - Hull between 100-200k - 1994 MSE - 300 total time, 150 hours in type - Renewed for 3.544 AMU (first year was 3.7 AMU with 150 total time, 1 hour in type)
  8. Premier (FXE) conducted a thorough pre-buy and was straightforward to deal with, but you'll pay sticker price. If I lived in Florida I would probably be taking it there for annuals. I've heard some complain of extra unexpected costs but that wasn't my experience. The work itself was quality.
  9. Bummer. Thanks!
  10. Those new taxi lights just went on my wish list ... will be talking to you soon! Any post-Oshkosh news from Whelen on our recog lights? @OSUAV8TER
  11. Anything from the tail left? Looking for 460043-007 and 460043-005 (not sure if these are used on the Ovation or not). These are the lower rudder skins, RH and LH. @Chrigi
  12. The segments in the bar gave me hope it might collapse. I have a Sidewinder but would love something a little more compact for carrying in the plane. I can do it by hand most places but when it's just me by myself, pushing it uphill (like Catalina Airport camping) can be difficult.
  13. Does it collapse to a smaller size? How much did it weigh?
  14. September isn't *that* far away...
  15. As a guy who has one sitting in the hangar but can't bring himself to install it for various reasons like interfering with the Jet Shades and blocking my view, your ideas intrigue me. I'd love a photo or two please.
  16. Don't need to work too hard to convince me of an upgrade; the plane will eventually get a full G3X Touch panel (or whatever Garmin comes out with by then to replace that). I'm only looking for a relatively cheap plug-and-play TC secondhand as a stopgap, but if anyone wants to sell me a cheap Lifesaver instead I won't complain.
  17. I already have two G5s, this is for a backup.
  18. @mhrivnak is your panel retaining the turn coordinator? Mine has somehow become fixed in place, as in, the little airplane does not move when I turn.
  19. Please make sure the new owner is contractually obligated to continue providing IO-390/prop updates!
  20. I would say the relief tube comment is a long-running gag on this site, except I think he's serious. But he does know a thing or two about the long-range tanks...
  21. Been a while since we heard anything out of Kerrville... or is it just me?
  22. "After blowing off three fingers and four toes, he decided to reconsider his homemade fireworks hobby."
  23. Whatever this attachment is, it won't open on a recent model-year Mac. Would you please repost in a standard image format (jpg, png, etc.)?
  24. Hope you're investing in an insurance policy for making promises like this!
  25. Leave it to Anthony to transform what could have been “if you’re going to hijack a two-year-old thread to promote your own competing product, the least you can do is pay to support the site” into the friendliest possible terms.
