  1. I think Cygnet (better known for Beech dual yokes) makes some of the hardware for Garmin, not sure about CWS though.
  2. Know I have more but can't find them. Is there anything specific you want to see? Next time I have the inspection panel off I'll take more.
  3. I use this site's messaging function, please reach out through there.
  4. I've looked at those but I'm not sure where I'd put the bases.

  6. You might find value in a phone call with @Bob Weber, who has been recommended on this forum and others numerous times. I have not used his services myself and have no financial stake, but if it were me I would certainly call him if I needed help with my autopilot. https://webairconsulting.com
  7. Slightly off-topic, but how about uptail lighting? As in, the lights on airliners illuminating the tail art. The only such lights I've ever seen on a Mooney belong to @N811SS.
  8. Very familiar with Hector, but whoever worked on the glareshield before my ownership broke multiple pieces of the plastic and the internal lighting doesn't all work correctly, with multiple parts missing. I have the replacement lighting hardware but it will very likely break further trying to install them. I don't think Hector can help with that. I don't want to put lipstick on a broken glareshield, I think I need a new one before it goes to Hector unless someone knows of a plastic glareshield artist who can fix mine to better-than-new condition.
  9. My glareshield is cracked up and busted. I'm on the lookout for a high quality replacement.
  10. Sure seemed like a full-timer to me. That's impressive.
  11. That will be very close to my eventual setup, excepting a GTN 750 as primary navigator, GMA 35c for the audio panel, and Garmin's EIS. Good luck, and looking forward to seeing photos!
  12. Was he asking things like "Hey guys, how much meth do you think a Mooney could fit in the baggage compartment, HYPOTHETICALLY"
  13. What are you, some kind of math professor?
  14. As another dual G5 haver, I can't imagine pairing one with a half-baked AV-30 and would just bite the bullet and install two. I think that would leave you better prepared for future updates, especially the fantastic Garmin autopilot. Might be safer too since they talk to each other and can give you dual ADAHRS, dual batteries, and backup reversionary capability. But it's your plane, your rules!
  15. Considering the IFD was introduced 15 years later, I would hope so! In other news, my iPad beats the hell out of my Newton.
  16. This looks like a question for the Doc. @M20Doc
  17. @hnorber Just confirmed yep, I still have that strobe light (and the two wingtips too). Please PM me if you're interested.
  18. (conspicuously clears throat)
  19. I might be able to help you. My tail strobe (1994 MSE) was just pulled for an LED upgrade. I'll make sure my mechanic still has the strobe.
  20. Three Whelen Strobe Light Power Supply modules. Working when removed from 28V aircraft. Appear to be dual-voltage capable according to the label but I assume no liability; verify compatibility with your aircraft first. Price: $100 each shipped lower 48. Zelle, PayPal (F&F or you increase price to cover fee), or Venmo. Or buy all three for one low price: $250.
  21. @M20Doc Clarence: We have tried both the A508 and the A508 "halogen" LED replacement bulbs, but they don't fit. Making things tougher, the left and right side rear nav light assemblies use different hardware from each other on my plane. What do I need to do to make the A508 halogen LED replacement work? The right wingtip says "Sylvania TP39" on the bulb receptacle. The right side also has that metal "collar" in the middle that the left side does not have. The left wingtip doesn't have a visible part number on it. They seem to be different parts, one 90 degrees from the other. I could only get the right side bulb out, the lens is stuck on there pretty good on the right side. The right side bulb's pins don't look like the A508 halogen replacement's base, either. Right wingtip: Left wingtip: Ring wingtip bulb: Aero Lite bulb:
  22. My 1994 MSE had a tail strobe only — no position light. I added the combo Orion, but for now only the strobe portion works. I will have to run another wire to get the NAV position light working.
