carusoam Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 I'm happy with my Ovation.... Full seats and full enough fuel... If you get one, get it with all the power and fuel available... 310hp and 100+gals... Then on days with less dollars available, fly it LOP... Just sayin' -a- As for OG ops... Whip out the iPads this week, W&B and density altitude checks are good summer exercises... Quote
fantom Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Just keep it up.....and I will sell my MSE Quote
carusoam Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Gary, I over baked the results... The O is good, but not a miracle worker. Full fuel goes a long way with two people. And far enough with four... I took my own advice and updated WnB for the two in the back. They have grown full size this year, but still under the weight that the FAA calls standard. Best regards, -a- Quote
Txbyker Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 2 GX IO550 280HP Pilot and passenger each 210 lbs, 88gals fuel, 25lbs in the rear is over gross. Would need to start out with 75 gals to be legal which will take you a long way. If I am alone, top off at 102 gals and skip lunch I am just under gross. That would be about 1100nm. Quote
jetdriven Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 After all these years since Al built a single-seat Mite, we have come full circle, with a single-seat Ovation. Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Russ, congrats on the upgrade! That was fast. Quote
