Replacement flap switch cable

In annual at the moment and I need a replacement for the W-37-2 cable used to actuate the flap pump on my E model.

Any ideas on sources from our group?

Why do you need a new cable?

 

I had mine get so stiff that it would not work. I compleatly removed the cable from the plane. Soaked it with Mouse Milk and worked the center back and forth with a pair of pliers until it loosened up. I then put the whole cable in the parts washer and worked it back and forth until  no more crud came out of the cable.  I then soaked the cable with oil and hung it up until it stoped dripping oil. I put it back in the plane and it worked great. I sold the plane about 5 years after doing this and it still worked perfect.

I need a new cable because the one I have is broken at the flap release switch itself.  Apparently this cable is high carbon spring steel 0.062" in diamater (almost like a thicker piano wire).  I think we have finally sourced some and we will keep the same sleeve (it is still good).
