320KPH Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Hi After a supplier for the trim on the royalite panels where they finish against the windows. My trim (or edge beading or whatever it's called) has gone hard from thirty years of exposure. I know that any suitable beading will do the job and I found something thats close, but are there any recommendations for a supplier? cheers 320
DonMuncy Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 If memory serves me, I got some at Plane Plastics in Oklahoma (Ada?). I got white and then painted it with plastic paint in an almond color to match the royalite.

Plane Plastics and others sell it.
carusoam Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 If it's windlace, I used Plane Plastics for trimming around both doors. It improves the seal around the door in a nice faux leatherette sort of way. The ragged old fabric windlace leaves a terrible memorable first impression on your parents. At least they're honest enough to tell you in a nice way. So for a few bucks get new windlace from Plane Plastics. Use the old one as a pattern to cut and trim and find screw holes. It's a good DIY job for a new owner. Your parents will appreciate it! Best regards, -a-
N601RX Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Mcmaster carr has about any type of edge trim you need. Most autoparts stores has the U shaped edge trim. It is U shaped and has glue already inside the U so it stays where you put it.
Dale Logsdon Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Plane Plastics has window beading in almond color that will match your plastic color.
320KPH Posted February 15, 2013 Author Report Posted February 15, 2013 Its not the windlace, but thanks for your help. The old stuff is grey and has 90 degree edges.
Hank Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 My window beading is chromed. I'll see if I can find out where it came from, but the man who knows for sure just left town for a week.
