Kirch56H Posted November 23, 2025 Report Posted November 23, 2025 Looks great so far! I am considering a very similar setup for my J. Who did you choose to do the work?
spistora Posted November 24, 2025 Author Report Posted November 24, 2025 Thanks. I'm doing a lot of it with my local AP/IA. Let me know if you have questions.
Yetti Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 looks good. The happiest day I found was the screen to edit the values for the fuel gauges. After about 3 edits, the gauges were spot on with the fuel stick. 1
gacoon Posted December 5, 2025 Report Posted December 5, 2025 Looks like you have Dynon autopilot. How about a pirep on its performance and capabilities?

No AP yet as it wasn’t STC’d yet, when I did the installation. I had @Baker Avionics do the work and I was very happy with the end product. I’ve used the Dynon and Garmin G3X with one of my students. Both are extremely capable but there are some nuances that have me lean towards the Dynon. Cost being probably the biggest. 1

It will likely be after the first of the year by the time I get it finished up and in the air. It's a little slow only working Saturday and Sunday on it.
DRH4249 Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 Your set up looks very nice. Would like this in my F but auto pilot not allowed... I hope you get a lot of good use out of your upgrade. 1
Mscheuer Posted January 16 Report Posted January 16 Thanks for selecting a PS Engineering PMA450 audio panel, I think you will appreciate how easy it is to use and how capable it is. Mark Scheuer

Any chance you could post a picture or two of your dual screen Dynon setup? I’d like to see how they did your install. I’m leaning toward the Dynon system, but not sure if I’d do a single 10” screen, dual 10” screens or a 10” and 7” combo? Panel space is limited so I’ve been searching the internet for a 10” and 7” combo but haven’t seen any yet.
