Gatlin Gun Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 Talk about full circle... Bought my Mooney Rocket in 2019 from Colorado Air and Space Port (under a different name at the time), and now she's back home here. Wondering if any Mooney brothers or sisters are here too still?? Have some Garmin-update questions and heard we have some peeps on the property??? Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 I remember back in like ‘84 or so, I was based out of the Aurora airport (01V). I was flying around and it looked like they were making a new highway out in the middle of nowhere. After a few days I figured it must be a runway. My buddies and I kept joking (maybe) about who would be the first one to do a touch and go on it. After all, there was nothing saying it was closed, or even an airport. I will have to check my logbook, but I think I landed there the first day it was open. Back then it was called the Front Range Airport. The first time I landed there there was nothing there except runways, taxiways and a ramp. No buildings of any kind and no paved roads. 2 1 Quote

Marc_B Posted June 24 Report Posted June 24 @Gatlin Gun I’m up at GXY and I know two guys out at CFO…Mike and Brett both fly J’s. Have Mooney friends over at BJC, LMO, and COS as well. Quote

Wow...and now the pattern gets full, you hold outside of the Class D, and perch as #4 for landing. Quote

Marc_B Posted June 26 Report Posted June 26 I have some friends who use RMAS out of BJC, and a few who use a shop at CFO. I've previously used Arapahoe Aero down at KAPA which is the local Mooney Service Center, but think I'll be changing next year. For a Garmin shop I'd recommend Advanced Aerotechnologies Group up at KGXY. They recently partnered with RMAS at BJC. Quote
Joe Linnebur Posted June 26 Report Posted June 26 (edited) KCFO resident here. Happy to offer suggestions on mx shops, oil suppliers, etc. CFI as well, although it’s been some time since doing a flight review. Active airline instructor Edited June 26 by Joe Linnebur Quote
billy hellcat Posted Thursday at 02:48 AM Report Posted Thursday at 02:48 AM I am in KCFO. Just bought an ovation. Will be bringing it back after Oshkosh! N21MS. Will be in a heated hanger sharing with a bonanza. What's your tail number? Quote
