WTB Fuel Drain Valve Body (urgent) + Brittain BI-706 + BI-818 DG Adapter

Greetings!

I purchased a 1965 M20C and rolled the prebuy into a full annual. I'm excited to get to flying but first..

  1. During the inspection they found this part broken below the fuel selector valve. Does anyone have this available or know where I can get just this part? We're stuck until we can find a replacement and I'd prefer to not buy the whole valve. This is the description from my mechanic: "Here is a picture of the fitting. It is actually the drain valve body. It's on the bottom of the selector valve/fuel strainer, attached on the side of the bottom cap."
  2. I'm also looking for two BI-706 servos for the ailerons, the two in the aircraft were removed at some point.
  3. And finally a Brittain BI-818 DG Adapter and/or any other AccuFlite parts, I already have the Accutrak installed.

Yeah I was thinking about taking it to a machinist for repair. If nobody can spare one, I might have to buy the whole valve.

I'm no expert and I'm not a mechanic, but I've seen posts here where people have removed that valve and fitting and installed an elbow with a Curtis valve under the plane.  You drain it from outside the aircraft; closing the drain is positive and secure.  I've thought about having a mechanic intentionally remove my drain valve and making that exact modification if I can find evidence that it's approved.  I believe Don Maxwells shop was doing it but I could be wrong.  If that's an acceptable solution, that may be your answer.  Having someone try to repair that drain fitting would make me forever uncomfortable.  Search hard on Mooneyspace; the post is here somewhere.

Nice, thank you! Found some info on it and got a response from Maxwell on Facebook about it. I'm sending these pictures over to my mechanic.

Curious what kind of paperwork this would require, I've found talk of 337's etc but not sure what normally happens.

As an IA, if I was inspecting a Mooney and found that, I would smile, shake my head and move on to something important.

I agree. This way you don’t have to go into the cockpit to drain it and then go out and look if it drained. Can’t see if any water or debris came out by looking at it on the ramp. This is much better in my opinion. No different than a Piper.
