Hello Folks,

Time to replace my exhaust pipe. It seems several inches have already been taken off due to pin holes over the years. I now have developed about 4 new pin holes on top of pipe and need to resource a replacement.  I looked in my IPC and can’t find a part number but my pipe is on a TSIO-360MB and aft of turbo. Pic below and looking forward to conversation. You can see the pinholes on the top and towards the end.  Holes are causing the soot around exterior of pipe which was the catalyst I have a problem.

@anthonydesmet Illustrated Parts Catalog – Continental Aerospace Technologies

I believe you'll find the part number on the Continental Parts Catalog.  Doesn't work well on Firefox so use chrome or edge.  I believe it might be PN: 654884 for the tailpipe assembly.

You could also call AWI and see if they could overhaul...https://awi-ami.com/

Thanks Marc. I think you are correct on the part number. Will confer with my mech tomorrow and will probably give AWI a call to get it going.

@anthonydesmet You may want to verify the status of your V-band clamp before you remove that exhaust pipe. See AD_2023-09-09. If you need a new one, part numbers are 670105 (new) or 653337 (superseded) and they are currently hard or impossible to get.

What would it cost for you to offer in titanium or inconel????

@Gee Bee Aeroproducts that’s nice! If I can squeak mine out to annual (May) and send you mine, how long until I’m airborne?

right now still having problems sourcing a replacement. Schematics for the LB1 engine that you sent looks different than TCM schematic for MB engine and the part numbers are different.  I can’t find the 654884 exhaust pipe for the MB yet so sending mine out might be my only option.

also sending note to @kortopates to see if he has any ideas.

When using Inconel, do you get infinite exhaust life in this application?  I expect you could plan to use the exhaust on your next engine, as-is.  In my day job, I specify Inconel 718 for almost everything.  High temp capable, exceptional fatigue, my favorite alloy.  I expect you use Inconel 625?  Similar enough and better welding.  If you use thinner stock due to superior properties, you may end up overall lighter.
