Luna Volantis Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Looking for advise on replacing my rear door seal as apparently the original is no longer made. Have been told to use M-D Building Products ⅜ in. x 10' Black Sponge Rubber Weather Strip sold at Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/M-D-Building-Products-3-8-in-x-10-ft-Black-Sponge-Rubber-Foam-Weatherstrip-Tape-06635/100353487?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-100355591-_-100353487-_-N#overlay which is similar to the product sold on Aircraft Spruce by Knotts2U for a fraction of the cost. Please post comments with links. Thanks!

Igor_U Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 I used their Main door seal but they have Baggage door seal as well. https://www.aircraftdoorseals.com/baggage-door-seal-mooney-m20-series-ads-5001002/
PT20J Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 Mooney used door seals manufactured by Brown Aircraft https://www.brownaircraft.com/Default.asp The original foam-filled BA-189-139 tended to flatten and is no longer manufactured. The replacement is T-9088. Attach with 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive. 1
Andy95W Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 I used the stuff below from Lowe’s. 5/16” is pretty tight, 1/4” thick might suffice depending on how well your baggage door fits. 1
