rrodriguzzi1 Posted August 14, 2022 Report Posted August 14, 2022 Nose truss, discs, hardware and paint. 4
Guest Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 Don’t forget the cotter pin in the nose gear axle nut.
carusoam Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 Look up the parts for the towing limitations needle and decal…. (Nice update applicable to older Mooneys) And keep the big tow bar and high powered tow vehicle away from your nose gear…. It is very easy to twist things until they break…. Also check further back in the nose gear for damage… the steering horn and tubes attached further back can be at risk… Nicely painted gear legs look great! PP guesses only, not a mechanic… Best regards, -a- 1 1
rrodriguzzi1 Posted August 16, 2022 Author Report Posted August 16, 2022 I did. I couldn’t find them anywhere. New steering horn and hardware. Bought the smallest tow bar I could find out there.
Igor_U Posted August 16, 2022 Report Posted August 16, 2022 Towing limit decal? Did you try LASAR? Or you can make your own... https://lasar.com/placards-decals/decal-towing-limits-bars-150056-a2022r 1
rrodriguzzi1 Posted August 16, 2022 Author Report Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Not the greatest luck with LASAR. Most of what I need they don’t have. But, thanks anyways. Edited August 16, 2022 by rrodriguzzi1
cliffy Posted August 18, 2022 Report Posted August 18, 2022 Did I miss something? How did you fix the bent tubes?
rrodriguzzi1 Posted August 20, 2022 Author Report Posted August 20, 2022 I replaced the nose truss. Still got the original one.
carusoam Posted August 22, 2022 Report Posted August 22, 2022 The original will make Great Wall art…. A great reminder for anyone using a tug on a customer’s Mooney! Best regards, -a- 1
