Mooney Legend has passed away

Mooney Legend Manthey, Runway 27, clear for departure, climb unrestricted to your destination, God's speed.

It is with great sadness that we learned of a Mooney legend's passing. Jerry Manthey. He was a master mechanic and presented seminars around the country and wrote for the MAPA Log. Jerry did a couple of seminars at my home airport in Santa Maria. His favorite thing to do was to go check out everyone's airplane on the ramp. I remember he looked at my Maggie, and couldn't find too much wrong with her. Our condolences to Ethel Manthey and family.

Services will be May 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Valley Mortuary in Cameron Park, CA.
