StevenL757 Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 Another link to this...not much detail. http://www.kathrynsreport.com/2022/04/mooney-m20e-chaparral-n21bs-fatal.html @mike_elliott, sadly. Quote
PeteMc Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 So I'm still unclear on what the potential theories. From what I've read, the landing was okay. THEN there was an issue where he taxied over the grass median and hit another plane. Was this the grass median along the runway so really he ran off the edge of the runway? Did he just miss the exit from the runway? Was he totally off the runway on the taxiway and this is a second median that he missed the taxi way turn or something? I haven't seen any real details, but was it possibly a medical condition that he was not in control of the plane when it taxied across the grass and ran into the other plane? (Just curious for learning purposes....) Quote

The link from mysanantonio says, "The pilot “passed away from a cardiac-related emergency and not secondary to a plane crash,” according to Kerrville police." 1 1 Quote

carusoam Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 This was first reported last Friday…. In the five gear ups in a week thread… 1980 first added the report…. Somebody familiar with a heart attack, and how much TOC you might get with that… wrote the following… Expect that you may get a few minutes of time to take your last actions…. Prayers for the lost airman… -a- “ There are a few health issues that take a while to fully incapacitate a pilot…. Heart attacks, strokes, and CO poisoning come to mind…. All a matter of timing… for how far you can get… don’t wait to dial 911… PP thoughts only… I have only seen one heart attack…. And met a Mooney pilot that had a stroke… and knew enough about getting help quickly… Best regards, -a- Quote
