A bit confused on the various options.  If I install LED wingtip and tail lights with the strobe function, can I remove my existing belly strobe?

To answer your question it depends. Technically, yes if you have a TSO certified wingtip and tail strobe light, you do not need a beacon light. The "it depends" part requires you to take a look at your POH or TCDS to see if the belly beacon is part of the aircraft certification. Secondly, it will require you to run the strobe lights all the time, which on the ground or if you fly into clouds it can become a distraction. Pic of my departure early this morning.  Two G3 landing, two G3 taxi lights and two led recognition lights.   Couldn't be more pleased.   Thanks James!

That is impressive! Nice projection down the runway and excellent illumination to the left and right of the aircraft.

I adjusted per the Mooney SM.   Considering the beam presentation is so different compared to the old GE bulbs I wasn't really sure what kind of results to expect.  Pleasantly surprised to say the least.

I have an excellent inventory of these G3 LED landing and taxi lights. Most Mooney aircraft require the PAR-36 size unless your Mooney has a single landing light on the nose, then is needs a PAR-46 size lamp.
