Anti chafe tape

Does anyone know whether a K model is supposed to have anti chafe tape on the upper or lower cowling.

Are you getting "smoke trails" (black streaks)  from the joint? I have an S model and it was missing, the last time the plane was serviced it was replaced (or added?). All is fine now.

Yes, sometimes I have the black streaks running back from the joints. It doesn't do it every flight. I assumed it was oil, until I read that it happened when water was present. That is when I determined that perhaps I had only seen it during wet weather.  Then I looked on the plane and found I had no antichafe tape. Thus my post as to whether the tape was supposed to be there.
