Here is my solution to hot starts, after a one hour stop. Worked perfectly at last weeks Florida Mooney fly-in. Cooled engine bay at least 35 degrees F. and eliminated any vapor lock. Solar panels keep the the fan turning, and sucking out hot air, even when cloudy. Think Pedro and I should market it? Maybe I'll bring it to MAPA and see what the group says.

I saw this at the fly in lunch and love the idea...  I really think that my use for it would be to place it in the pilot window when I am on the ground to 1) cool the interior, so you dont' roast in the Florida heat in the summertime and 2) keep the avionics cooler while parked outside.  Of course my Mooney is carburated, so the hot start is less of an issue, however, cooling the engine would be a benefit as well.

Thanks, Arron.

There are many good engine, baffling, o-rings, hoses, and other reasons, besides hot starting, to keep your engine bay cool.

Now that I have my identity back, I just was wondering why the group thinks of this product?

two panels at 29.95 each, fan was about $8, suction cups were a couple of bucks, carrying pack was about the same. ~ $$75 total.  Maybe in volume, could knock it down to $50 cost. Bought everything at Harbor Freight.

I think that it's a great idea.  I was looking at something to put in my truck while it bakes in the SC heat.  I don't want to roll my window down.  There must be a way to mount a little fan using existing plumbing.
