Hi experts,

I have a Century 21 autopilot installed with a DG (not HSI like NSD360) and a STEC-30 ALT for altitude hold.

If I replace the DG with a Garmin G5 HSI + GAD29B, will it gain GPSS capability if the G5 is fed by a Garmin GPS 175?

In addition, is it correct that I will need to keep the mechanical AI to drive Century 21 even if I replace the AI with another G5?

Sorry if this question has already been answered somewhere else.

I have a CIIB with a G5 HSI, the stock AI and and an Avidyne 550. I have GPSS, which I love.

So did you again GPSS capability from linking G5 HSI to Avidyne 550?  Or was your GPSS system installed separately?

Great.  Thank you.  That answers my question.

Yes, I also have g5 with stec30.  The gpss is internal to the g5.  It’s really nice.  Before the g5, I had the stec gpss installed with the AP, but that was able to be removed when the g5 went in.
