fantom Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 VFR Approach and landing only, at Paro, Bhutan in a A320 Quote
Immelman Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Very cool! A couple of weeks ago I went to Peru and flew (lan airlines)) from Lima to Cusco, field elevation around 11,000' in an Andean valley. The approach (visual) was pretty interesting but not nearly as gnarly as that Bhutan video! Quote
Jeff_S Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 That seemed not too dissimilar to the Potomac approach from the north into Reagan National Airport in DC. Just with a few more hills involved. Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 Before starting to work in Guatemala I lived for 4 years in La Paz, Bolivla, field elevation around 13,000 feet. Very interesting landing... Obviously I was never able to fly my Mooney down there... Just as an interesting note, the American Airlines pilots had to wear oxygen masks during their 45 minutes stopover, before flying to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where they refueled to continue to Miami.
