Chris can you give a hint to what you would be using the momentary switch for?

This May help identify a switch that somebody has used...

AS has a much more limited selection than Mouser... much easier to review.

Ptt. I have a random hole in my panel that used to be a cb for something that is long gone. It’s in the perfect position for a ptt button so I can get rid of the plug in one I use now.

as doesn’t seem to have anything that interests me and very limited on what will fill that size hole.

Some people have detailed exactly what PTT switch they used... but, they probably selected it to fit in the ram’s horn hole...

This might get you close...

https://mooneyspace.com/search/?q="Push to talk switch"&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy

key words like... single pole, single throw, momentary, push button, switch... may get you even closer in the mouser world... :)

Or go to AS and search on PTT.

I’ve been through those. I typically search before I ask.

I’m well versed in mouser, but especially when it comes to buttons, a good solid tactile feel is important to me. I thought I’d ask before I picked from a catalog.

Thats the one with the 4lb push?  It’s literally the only one as has that might fit. Right now it’s my number 1 option.

how do you like it?  I’m the kinda guy that likes his buttons to have a nice respectable click to them.

I always figured you were singing opera in the Karaoke clubs until well after midnight, Anthony.  Or was that your famous relative? ;)

My great uncle Enrico was amazing... :)

He was the greatest of all tenors...

his fans are still disappointed that he ran off stage during a San Fran earthquake... back in the day...

Unfortunately... no relation...

hmmm... I may need a formator  handle one day....

Otto P7 series are a nice tactile feedback switch.   There are other P series too. Mouser.

It’s not the prettiest installation but it’s a great button and it worked out.

For those with this question I’m the future it’s a little bigger that the CB or the marker beacon light it replaced and needed to be reamed a bit bigger.

some day I’ll get around to cutting a new panel and cleaning things up.
