But I was looking on the LP AeroPlastics website yesterday. If you pull up the Manufacturers Part Number Cross Reference list it shows the Mooney part # (340121-005) cross-referenced with the LP part # (135) and you get green tint. I was going to call LP Aeroplastics Monday to see what the heck. It looks gray to my wife and me, but it's still covered with the peel-off wrapping. 1 Quote

carusoam Posted April 8, 2019 Report Posted April 8, 2019 Coke bottle green and gray are hard to tell the difference... while looking through them. Sometimes it might be easier to tell by looking at the edge. If it is green, it will look dark ocean green... enough difference from gray... If you take the paper off shining a light through it onto a white piece of paper... tinges of green are much easier to see this way. around Y2K... I thought I was buying a gray window to match what I had... turns out I had the green windows that were original... they were so oxidized/UV damaged they didn’t look very green at all... Jim W Posted April 8, 2019 Author Report Posted April 8, 2019 Just talked to LP Aeroplastics. When the aircraft was being built, Mooney called for this window to be green tinted. But LP makes the same window in clear, green, grey, UV resistant; and 1/4 in thick if you want. The one I have for sale is tinted Solar Gray and is 3/16 inch thick. Quote
