FloridaMan Posted March 19, 2018 Report Posted March 19, 2018 Out of curiosity, does anyone have any recent experience with pricing for a 3 color Imron paint job for a Mooney?

Bob Belville just dropped his airplane off at Hawk in Tampa for a full strip and paint. You might PM him for details. Thanks, David
Bob_Belville Posted March 19, 2018 Report Posted March 19, 2018 Hawk Aircraft at KVDF uses only Imron paints. Several folks here including Byron and Becca (@jetdriven) have had planes painted by Joe Dinolfo. I met him for the first time Saturday when I dropped off my old E. I'm been impressed with his approach. "Quality work at a fair price." If you go on his web site and request a current quote I suspect you'll have it a day or so. Hawk is listed on Scheme Designers' shop reference list.
jetdriven Posted March 19, 2018 Report Posted March 19, 2018 He is a bit rather old school. Just call him up he is good about answering the phone. Yes they only use Imron AF400. They strip with SPC-909 neutral stripper. 1

kris_adams Posted March 19, 2018 Report Posted March 19, 2018 Yep, this is where I'm taking mine one of these days! Can't wait to see yours @Bob_Belville 1
rpcc Posted March 20, 2018 Report Posted March 20, 2018 For an Ovation, 18k is what I found to start. I'm sure you can spend more for a more involved scheme. That does not include issues that need to be addressed before the plane is refinished.
