Oh well. Anyone have an leads on an instructor in the general vicinity (TTA, HRJ, SCR, BUY) who has mooney experience? Unfortunately the back of the Mooney flyer has Sox and co in Virginia as the nearest transition instructors. Thanks for your help! Brad I was just at KMRN last of Jan for a week, we could have knocked it out then. 1 Quote

What's a good period before being able to do the CPL maneuvers and not harm the freshly overhauled engine? 50 hours? 100? I had been training in my F model prior to selling and purchasing my Missile. I overhauled the engine at purchase - so no maneuvers like that for 100 hrs. Got engaged, got married, had two kids, and am now about to finally finish my commercial 7 years later. If possible, if you own your own aircraft and it’s a Mooney, I would do it in your own aircraft. Finally taking the written in the next 10 days and then brushing up maneuvers and going for the Oral/Pracfical in March. -Seth Edited February 11, 2018 by Seth 3 Quote
wishboneash Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 Passed the CPL yesterday. The new ACS has made it a fairly long and arduous test. The tough ones on the flight test are the eights-on-pylons and the 180 deg. accuracy landings (according to the DPE, and he was right). Please PM me for details if you want to know more. 1 Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted February 12, 2018 Report Posted February 12, 2018 My friend Rene passed his single ATP in the Rocket on Friday. The exact same check ride as the multi ATP. All the approaches were done single engine just like the multi. 1 2 Quote
